The building system is the basis of a building. It consists of the individual elements walls, floors and roofs as well as columns, beams and stairs.
Walls in most cases are produced floor-to-ceiling high. Floors and roofs, in contrast, are produced in certain widths and lengths, dependent on the maximum size permitted for transport and on aesthetic requirements.
The precast concrete components are manufactured in a production facility and will be transported to the building site. On the building site the elements are assembled and create the building.
The industrialization how to make buildings requires a change of the whole building process. Planning of buildings must be adapted to the application of precast concrete components. Consequentially, this means that the full range of the building system “Precast Reinforced Concrete Components” should be utilized. Among others, the dimensions of the elements, the formation of details, the composition of the concrete and the surface design have to be considered.
Manufacturing in a protected environment – in a production building - guarantees an optimal and efficient utilization of resources and leads to a resource-saving building system.
Precast reinforced concrete components have excellent noise reducing characteristics. Noise pollution can be reduced significantly for the inhabitants without any additional expenses. Solid building elements have a high thermal storage capacity. The mass reactance of reinforced concrete causes a balance between extreme temperature changes, i.e., the warmth of the day will be stored and will be given back into the room during the cool night. During the day the rooms are cool, thus reducing the cooling costs. This principle can also be applied in the other direction, when temperatures are low.
With precast concrete components all types of buildings can be erected:
Agricultural buildings – Industrial- and Commercial buildings – Residential buildings – Housing (Villas) – Schools – Educational buildings – Government buildings – Stadiums – Parking and storage buildings- Cultural and Religious buildings etc.
