Discussions about the future of precast concrete production

End of November 2021, the leading representatives of the precast concrete industry met in Munich to discuss future developments in precast concrete production under the motto "Prefabrication in the new reality".

Exciting presentations awaited the visitors of the Precast Concrete Summit

In the presentations by Prilhofer Consulting, RIB SAA Software Engineering and Allplan Precast, current topics such as the shortage of skilled workers, obstacles on the way to digitalization as well as advantages and disadvantages of BIM-supported planning and production were addressed and solutions were exchanged, especially through a lively discussion.

Further development as an opportunity

Challenges such as new products, new market players, labor shortages, etc. require further development in terms of BIM, paperless manufacturing, more complex products and occupational safety.

The focus should therefore be on the further development of the products as a system. But also on data that make automation possible in the first place, as well as on new production methods and systems for reducing CO2 in production.
