Patent for reinforcing elements

Patent for device and method for the production of a reinforcing element in the production of precast concrete elements

Patent no.  2246499

A reinforcing element for a reinforced concrete structure has a two-dimensional base element and intermediate elements to provide a three-dimensional structure, the intermediate elements having additional bar elements connected to the two-dimensional base element and a plurality of bar elements connected to regions of the intermediate elements facing away from the two-dimensional base element. The additional elements can be designed as bent up individual bar elements.

In simple terms, this means that reinforcement can be created together with a lattice girder in the machine.

Advantages of the new method for reinforcing elements

It makes it possible to get away from the rigid shape of the lattice girder and to design the lattice girder welded into the mesh according to the actual load of the slab.
