In June 2020 Mr. Christian Prilhofer (CEO of Prilhofer Consulting and international consultant for precast concrete building systems) has been invited as a speaker to attend the first annual event of the University of New Brunswick in Canada regarding “Transforming Construction 2020”.
The Off-site Construction Research Centre (OCRC) at the University of New Brunswick is bringing international leaders, academics and regional stakeholders virtually together to participate and learn about technological transformation, off-site construction and the future of the industry.
Transforming Construction 2020 has been adapted from an in-person event to a series of interactive webinars comprising presentations by experts and collaborative discussions about state-of-the-art practices and innovation in the off-site construction industry. Discussion was around three themes:
- Digital technology
- Industrialized production systems
- Cultural and technological barriers
